The Award: The Spirit of Hope Award is a special honor that recognizes those individuals who have worked in the trenches, often against popular opinion, and who have used their time, money and/or talents to advance the fight against this devastating disease. This honor is particularly notewarothy as honorees are selected entirely by people living with HIV/AIDS.

2007 Honorees: Jeffrey Bowman, Legendary Bingo – presented by Lisa Ann Walter; W. David Hardy, MD of Cedars Sinai Medical Center – presented by Dr. Michael Gottlieb; Larry Hashbarger, Bettie McKenzie & Laura Heffron of Macy's Passport – presented by Reichen A. Lemkuhl; and, Stan Price, Volunteer of the Year – presented by Brad Sears.

Details: 5:00p Cocktail Reception & Silent Auction; 6:15p Awards Ceremony; 8:15p Comedy Entertainment provided by actor/comedian Leslie Jordan; 8:45p Dessert & Coffee. The 2007 event chair is Sam Page. Parking is available on the street or $5 at the PDC.

14th Annual Spirit of Hope Awards Ceremony and Silent Auction

Host: Comedian/activist Jerry Calumn.

Honorees: Roger Bohman, Eric Daar, Hernan Molina, Patrick Rush, Doreen Servati and Chuck Williams. The individuals and organizations we honor are our heroes, whose significant contributions provide us hope for a better future.

13th Annual Spirit of Hope Awards Ceremony and Silent Auction

On Sunday, October 9, 2005, Being Alive hosted the 13th Annual Spirit of Hope Awards Ceremony and Silent Auction.

Hosted by our Master of Ceremonies, Estelle Harris, star of stage and screen, best known for her work as George Costanza's mother on "Seinfeld", and hilarious LA stand up comic, Jerry Calumn, Producer of OUTLAUGH! 2005.
