Being Alive Seeks a Prevention & Wellness Coordinator
Being Alive is a Los Angles based nonprofit coalition of, by and for People living with HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County have a voice in public policy decisions impacting their lives, to inform them of all treatment options for HIV/AIDS, to provide emotional and social support services and activities, and to assist with HIV prevention efforts within the HIV-positive community. The staff, Board of Directors and volunteers include experts in advocacy, public health and policy development, community leaders and health care professionals. We are a “grassroots” nonprofit well known in the L.A. HIV/AIDS political community and focus on:
- Political and Grassroots Advocacy
- Treatment Education
- Peer-to-Peer Education, Support, Trainings
- Self-Empowerment Supportive Services
- Wellness Programs
- Social Activities including Crafts, BBQs etc.
- HIV/AIDS Specific Newsletter
- Art Programs
- HIV Prevention Programs
- Speakers Bureau

Being Alive is currently accepting applications for a Prevention & Wellness Coordinator.
